To get to Antigua from Guatemala City, you have several transportation options, and the most common and convenient way is by using a shuttle service. Here's how to do it:
Shuttle Service: Kan's Tours is a reputable shuttle company that offers transportation between Guatemala City and Antigua. You can easily book their shuttle service in advance online or at the airport upon arrival. The shuttle ride takes approximately 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on traffic, making it a quick and comfortable way to reach Antigua. Uber is also available.
Distance and Time: The distance between Guatemala City and Antigua is around 40 kilometers (approximately 25 miles). As mentioned earlier, the shuttle ride typically takes 1 to 1.5 hours, but this can vary based on traffic conditions. The route between the two cities offers picturesque views of the surrounding mountains and volcanoes.

Hiking Acatenango and Vulcan de Fuego with Soy Tours has undoubtedly been one of the most difficult and rewarding experiences of my life. It has not only fulfilled a long-held dream but also left an indelible mark on my soul. HIKE DETAILS:
The hiking is demanding. You have to wear comfortable clothes and be sure to bring enough water, at least 3 liters of water.
On average, the total distance covered during the two-day Acatenango hike is around 12 to 15 kilometers (approximately 7.5 to 9.3 miles, not including the hike to Vulcan de Fuego which is additional 4 miles)
You’ll sleep at 3.756 meters above sea level and the temperature at the camping is around 5°C to – 10°C, so warm clothes are needed (don’t worry! Soy provides free of charge!)
Rain showers may occur, mainly from April to October
The camping is located at the Sunset side. It is a very exclusive spot
Soy offers a unique special covered kitchen at the camping, so you will be protected and enjoy the view while eat around a fire pit
Soy carries all the gear, dinner and breakfast to the camp. You only carry your clothes, water, lunch and snacks. (option to hire a porter to carry your personal things)

One of the highlights of my visit was undoubtedly the delectable food. Ulew Cocktail Bar: My favorite cocktail bar in Antigua, Guatemala, Ulew Cocktail Bar is an 'enter through the phone booth' speakeasy with an atmosphere that feels more like a clandestine wine cave than a typical bar. Located beneath Antigua Brewing Company, the bar doesn't have a formal cocktail menu, but the skilled barkeeps are well-versed in the classics and have plenty of exciting and original recipes up their sleeves as well. An absolute must!
Agua: Experience the unparalleled beauty of Antigua Guatemala and the majestic surrounding volcanoes from our rooftop terrace and cocktail bar. Savor your preferred beverage from our wide-ranging selection, featuring signature cocktails, timeless mixes, craft beers, and thoughtfully curated international wines. So good, I went back twice!
Tartines: A great restaurant with even better view up on the terrace. Enjoy a french inspired meal, while overlooking ancient ruins. Cant beat the terrace here!
Charleston:Fresh juices and carefully made syrups and shrubs go into every one of our unique cocktails.
El Barrio: This place has it all! An array of bars and restaurants in one place. Spend a lively night mixed with locals and visitors from all over.

Simply head down to the village's dock, and within minutes, local boat operators will greet you and guide you to their small watercraft. Boats should cost between $5-15.
